Principles of COSHH

Target Audience:
This course is aimed at those responsible for the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) at work, as well as employees who use hazardous substances in manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport, utilities and offices.

The Objectives / Learning Outcome:

• To explain what is meant by the term manual
• Identify the hazards associated with those substances
• Identify the risks and controls available to deal with the substances
• Identify what to expect from a COSHH assessment

There is a maximum of 12 places available.
Validation of Certification: 3 years.
Course Duration:
3 hours. (In-House)
4 hours. (Accredited)

All students will receive course handouts and certificates will be forwarded upon successful completion of the course.

Assessment:

• If you book this course as a (In-House) course the assessment is continual through out.
• If you book this course as an (Accredited) course there is short multi choice paper of 30 questions with a pass mark of 20.

There is a maximum time limit of 1 Hour.
You are not allowed any assistance to complete the answers.

This qualification will prepare employees to contribute to the safer use of hazardous substances in co-operation with their managers and supervisors.
